Company co-founder Noel Regan tells us where hed go on holiday with a grand Where would you go? It would have to be Mojacar in Almeria, southern Spain. This beautiful Moorish village is situated right on the coast and on the verge of the Cabo de Gata national park. What do you like about it? The beauty and serenity of the locality. The 6km of wide, sandy beaches, fantastic food, the authenticity of the area. I also love the fact that it is so child friendly with playgrounds. I describe this area as Connemara with sunshine. Who would the holiday suit? Couples with kids as there is plenty do, but in a relaxed atmosphere. Couples wanting to get away from it all, and in the winter, retirees, as the climate is the driest in Europe. How do you get there? I usually fly Ryanair to Almeria or Murcia and it is an hour away by car. Or fly to Alicante with Aer Lingus or Ryanair. How long could you stay there for a grand? Off season, which is my favourite time to go, then easily a week and possibly a fortnight. What would make your visit memorable? The drive through the Cabo de Gata national park, the old town of Mojacar where many artists and craftspeople live all year round, the beaches of Vera Playa and the Bullring in Vera Town 8km away. What are the must-see attractions? All of the above and a trip to Granada, two hours away, to see the Alhambra palace. In winter the ski resort in the Sierra Nevada is a short distance away. When should I go? April to June is beautiful but anytime of the year is fabulous. Is it possible to get away from the crowds? This is what I like most about the place.
